:-(

This is how I feel right now... sad. Emily and Mike left for Houston about an hour ago. I know I only had her for a few days, but now I don't know what to do without a cute little puppy doing a dance for me everytime I get home. Also, I have no one to sleep with at night anymore :-(

It will be good, with her there and all, I will just have to get used to missing her until June.

Thanks again Diva and Dean for taking her in!! I appreciate it a lot!!

Have a good one everyone. I might take a nap and then do a LOT of homework tonight. As for now, I am so tired I am not sure I know how I am typing, or if it is even coherant.

Baby & Lance

These adorable pups are a friends of mine, Robert Johnson. I just got some stories about them. The one on the left is Baby, and the one on the right is Lance.

First I will tell you abou Baby. Robert and his girls, Heather and Adeline, picked out Baby from the dog pound. Robert said he was on the "last mile" and they just had to save her. The person at the Humane Society said he was found on a street called Montezuma and nobody had claimed him. Robert, the historian that he is, wanted to name is Zuma, after Montezuma. So Baby was called Zuma for about a day, until Adeline said that the dog should be named Baby, because it was her baby.

Now Lance was a slightly different story. Instead of saving Lance from the "last mile" they saved it from the chance of getting there. One of Robert's daughter's friends owned the dog but had to get rid of it because the apartment they were in wouldn't accept the dog anymore. So Robert thought that Baby probably needed a friend, so why not adopt this new one? So they did. It was named Lance, after Lance from N*Sync, one of his daughters favorite bands at the time.

Onto other news, today has been a hard day for me today because Emily is flying to Houston tomorrow and I am sad that I won't be able to see her for 2 months. Mike is coming down tonight, and we will all hang out together until 2pm tomorrow. Emily and Mike will be leaving on a jetplane tomorrow at 2:50pm. I hope they will be okay!! Well I am not really worried about Mike, just about Emily in the plane because it is such a change for her. I think I need to just stop worrying.

Aside from the fact that Emily is leaving on Saturday, I am still excited that I might be able to get more than 4 hours of sleep tomorrow. Woo hoo!!!

Emily got a haircut!!!!!!!!!!

Mike hates the bows, but I think it is funny, for a day at least. Or until she rips them off. She hasn't yet... I wonder how long that will last. Hahah. Oh, and do you like her new collar? I do.

Look at the back bow? What is that? It looks like something Eeyore would wear?

In this picture Emily's head looks so huge compared to her body. I think the angle is neat.

Anyway, my day has been crazy. I took Emily to the vet today, which went well. She is healthy and approved for take-off. They talked me into a grooming, and because she was looking a bit on the scraggly side I agreed. I also did it because I want Mike's parents to get a good first impression of her. And how can you not with that collar? hahah.

Have a good day everyone!!

Boston Terriers 2-in-1

These are Boston Terrier's. You know how I mentioned yesterday about how I would post a picture of both a puppy and an adult, I think this picture covers both areas pretty well.

I got a few email's the other day about posting stories about groups that are helping out animals. I will try to get them up here pretty soon. Thanks for sending in the information, I appreciate it!

If anyone else ever has any ideas on stories, or dog breeds that I should post, just email me at the "Submit Pictures Link" on the right navigation bar.

Have a good day!!

Beagles

This is a Beagle puppy, in a cup.

This is a beagle that looks very similar to the one Emily made friends with today in the park.

Mike complained how I often just show puppies on this blog, instead of adult dogs. So I think I might start showing an adult and a puppy of whatever dog breed I am featuring everyday, unless... someone sends in pictures to me... which they should do if they read this blog and want to make their dog famous. :-)

Today has been a pretty good day. I was able to take Emily for a long walk today. I wasn't planning on it being long, but it ended up being long because I lost my cell phone in the PARK. It took 45 minutes of looking for it. to find it. Geesh.

I was also pretty happy that Emily was actually nice to the dogs. Over the weekend she just wanted to growl at every dog that came her way. I think it was because she was just nervous being in a completely different atmosphere, because today she made three friends, including a beagle friend.

I hope this continues!!

ps: I got my cap and gown today, I think graduation is in 43 days!!

Lakeland Terrier

Here is a Lakeland Terrier

And here is a Lakeland Terrier puppy!

Don't these dogs just warm your heart!!

Today has been a crazy day, that I will fill you in about at some later point. It has been a good day for the most part, although everytime I leave Emily alone I feel really guilty!! I can't handle it. Do you think she notices much?

When I am gone I turn on Animal Planet for her, so she can watch animals all day. Maybe this way she can start to like animals, specifically dogs.

Sorry I posted so late, but again, today has been crazy!!

I have to go write two papers now, and still get up at 6am to do more. Eeek.

Emily!!!

This is a picture of Emily and Michael.

This is a picture of Emily and me.

She is a cute little puppy. She is a lot of fun, although definitely some work. I just went on a jog with her, and now she is sleeping like a baby next to mike who is also sleeping(after attempting to study for a little bit).

Sorry I didn't post anything yesterday, I didn't have time. I got Emily yesterday afternoon. We took her for a walk, and just loved her to death. Then today we took her to the airport to make sure the case we had for her would work for the plane. Thankfully she passed. She actually wasn't bad in the case either. We were really afraid she would hate us for it. We went to lunch with her in Ocean Beach, a really dog friendly area. She wasn't very friendly with some of the dogs around her, but thats mostly because she never hung out with many dogs before. Hopefully that wil change soon.

Well I have a lot to do, with no time. I have two tests this week and two papers due. Wish me luck!!
