Today Mike and I went to brunch with Jeremy and Carey. Mmmm it was delish. Afterwards we watched the Suns game, which they unfortunately lost in. It was a good time still.

I am so happy that it is the weekend. Last week was tiring, like most weeks.
Last night I was able to hang out with Mike and some other friends in Redondo Beach or Hermosa Beach (never figured out which one). It was a cute area, and a fun new place to be with fun people.
Today I hung out with Teddy and Mike. We went and got some food from this place called Mother's. I got potato tacos and they were beyond delish! mmmm.
I think the rest of the day I may either do some work and/or watch some movies. :-)

Petsmart was Right....
Dogs really DO love Bobo.... especially Ender!
Ender has been playing with Bobo non-stop. He has played fetch with Bobo for an hour each night, and last night I caught him holding Bobo like a child holds a teddy bear. I wish I had a photo of it, because it was honestly one of the cutest things I have ever seen :-)
If Ender could talk, he would thank Dean and Diva for his new favorite toy :-)

I hope everyone had a great weekend! Mine was great because I got to relax... a LOT. The only thing I really did was celebrate Carey's graduation with some friends. That was a lot of fun! The rest of the weekend I just sat around and worked on some SEO research, and watched tv and movies. I wish weekends like this upon everyone :-)

Today is my girly day with Teddy. She is coming over pretty soon and we are going to watch some girly television that Mike won't let me watch in front of him. It should be good times.

I hope everyone's day went well. Mine was pretty good. I got a lot of stuff done at work today, which is always nice. I forgot to pack my shoes for the gym, which prevented me from going. I should be going now, but I will just make it up by going on Friday instead. I promise. I did run yesterday by the way :-)

I hope everyone's weekend went well. Mine was a lot of fun. Mike's parents were in town so we had a great excuse to explore places we do not go everyday.
On Saturday we went to the beach and walked the pups. It was Ender's first time on sand :-) He thought it was weird. We got to watch the sunset while we were there, which was nice. After that we watched the Zodiac, which I have to say I loved, even though I am VERY bias.
On Sunday, we went out to brunch and then visited the Museum of Tolerance. Here we got to hear a story from a Holocaust survivor, which made me definitely appreciate my life. We got to explore the Holocaust museum there which was very interesting. Mike and I have been trying to visit here for awhile. It was definitely worth the wait!
This morning I was severly affected by the horror of Daylight Savings time. Although I love that extra hour of sunshine (and now EVEN longer) I do still hate the fact that I have to LOSE an hour of sleep. On my way to work I was extremely tired, but then I encountered mass amounts of smoke. Turns out there were two fires in the Anaheim Hills by the freeway I was driving on. One fire was on my way to work and one by my work. The smell of the air reminded me of the San Diego Fires back in '03. The fires are mostly contained I have heard, but it still did a lot of damage. We didn't get a fire day though, which is practically the only natural disaster day I have ever gotten in my life before.

We have tried putting coins in a can and shaking it, and spraying water on Ender, but he just wants to play with us more. Chow Akita Mix!
I do not regularly put mixed breeds on here, which is only because they are harder to find! I love mixed breeds and have had better luck with them than purebreds. Isn't this cutie a great mix?

The biggest lesson I have learned after graduating from college is that even with a college degree you do not ofen make enough money to break even right away. I will just say it, I did not break even at all this month, and I definitely did not make more than I spent. Is there some sort of Academy Law that states somewhere that you have to suffer for a few years before breaking even? Eh.
In other news, I ran 4 miles today in 34 minutes. I was very proud of myself. I have blisters now, but at least I got a good run in :-)

Fox Terrier Puppies

I might have said this before, but Tuesdays are really the worst days to wake up for. The weekend isn't in site and the excitement of a new week has already worn off. Although I was tired, today was a pretty good day.
I was able to get a lot of work done at work, and then I went to the gym afterwards. I worked out for about 40-45 minutes, which is awesome for me :-) I am now in the process of doing laundry so I have clothes to work out in tomorrow. heh.

One of my favorite clients sent me this e-mail. I love it. I hope I never have to use it for real, but its soo cute!!
I hope everyone has been doing well. Sorry I have not been posting as much. A lot of things have been going on and I have been on the computer less.
Today I was able to go to the park with the pups and run around. I also watched "Anne Frank Remembered" which was pretty good. I am obsessed with learning about the Holocaust so it worked. Did you know Anne Frank had my birthday? I did. hah.
Anyway, I hope your week is going well and continues to go well. I plan on working out a lot, and cleaning up the house. Mike's parents are coming into town this weekend and I want to prepare for that. Woo hoo!

Howling in the Wind: Shi Tzu
Talk about a bad day this pup was having!
This definitely sounds like Ender. Even though I took him on a run today he still felt like howling and whining all night. :-) I am going to have to record his whining some time. I just tried to capture it just now, and it seems like the camera is the only thing that can keep him quiet. Figures.

Things on this end are going alright. Work today was busier than it has been in awhile, but it was okay. After work I went to the gym and worked out for 45 minutes. It was nice. I feel accomplished.
I also have been eating better the past 2 days. I am trying very hard. Wish me luck :-)

Clumber Spaniel
This is a Clumber Spaniel. Mike and I saw a pair of them at the park on Friday. They were two of the sweetest dogs we ever met. Emily was even nice to them :-)

Update on Cody
-SourceI know that most people who visit this blog visit it because they want something to make them smile, and not something to make them sad. I wish I didn’t have such sad news this past week, but I do, and I have always used a blog to tell the world what is going on in my world.
Here is a picture of little Cody. It looks sad because he is all hooked up, but he was really such a sweet perfect looking boy. Try not to look at the wires. Focus on how cute he was when he held the TIP of my finger with his entire cute little hand.
I was in Kansas City, MO the past few days as some of you may know to be with my sister, her fiancé and my especially my nephew, Cody. My nephew was born on Valentines Day, but was born in critical condition. I flew out to Kansas City on Saturday, and was able to be with him. After being with him and the family for several days, we found out that Cody’s brain had not fully developed, enough to where he was unable to survive without machines, and even on machines he wouldn’t last very long. The decision was made to take him off the machines, and Tuesday that is what happened. Cody has gone to a better place, where he will not have to deal with all the bad stuff in the world. My family is very upset right now, especially my sister and her fiancé. Please think good thoughts for them, because they will need it more than anything.
They asked me, as well as everyone else who calls them, not to donate flowers but to donate money to either the Ronald McDonald House in Kansas City or the Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. Both places were unbelievably kind in our time of need, especially Cody’s. The Ronald McDonald House let my sister, her fiancé and his mother stay at their place. Charities made them dinner every night and supplied them with whatever they needed. The Ronald McDonald house also had a part inside the Children’s Mercy Hospital that fed us while we waited in the hospital. Both the Ronald McDonald House and the Children’s Mercy Hospital were the biggest help imaginable. Although it ended up being some of the worst days of my family’s life, they were able to make the experience a little better. They allowed us to focus on Cody, rather than money.
If you are feeling charitable, please donate money to the Cody Ferguson fund at the Children’s Mercy Hospital or donate money to the Ronald McDonald House. These are both amazing organizations and I am more than inspired to help them.

Westie Stuff!
I was asked to give a review of the Vincent Strangio Store and I happily agreed because it has some cute stuff! Look at the image below. This image can be put on a sweatshirt, a t-shirt, note card, mouse pad or throw pillow.
The Vincent Strangio Store has a lot of funny pictures of dogs (all sorts of dog breeds) that can be placed on all the things mentioned above.
I love these kinds of things, but I would feel weird wearing the t-shirt, because I think I am too young for that sort of thing. I would love a westie mouse pad though for work. I already have my puppies on my desktop screen, why not have a picture of a westie right next to my right hand all day?
Mike's parent's gave Mike and I a really cute Westie placard for christmas, it is very similar to what some of these photos say. It says "Spoiled Westies Live Here" and every bit of it is true. :-)
I can see the things featured on this site being a great gift for dog lovers if you know of people who are obsessed with their dogs, like I am with mine. I would probably get my mom and Mike's parents the cocker spaniel one featured below because they have owned several cocker spaniels in their life.
I know that they read my blog, so I am not really sure that it is a good idea that I feature this, but hopefully they will forget what I wrote here ;-)

If you are interested in an update on the situation, let me fill you in. My sister's baby, Cody was doing worse last night and was not looking good. Luckily, we heard some better news later this afternoon which gives us a bit of hope. The baby was finally able to go the bathroom on his own, is moving around a bit, and can breathe on his own if he needs to. Things seem to be looking up right now, but we are still in the woods.
I am thankfully able to go be with my sister during this difficult time, thanks to Mike's parents. They were extremely generous and bought me a ticket to get to Kansas City and visit Cody and my sister and her fiance! This is one of the nicest things ever done for me and I am forever grateful for this opportunity. I was really worried that I wouldn't be able to go out there, and I really feel that I need to be there during this difficult time. I will be heading out there tomorrow morning and then coming back Tuesday evening. I can't wait to see little Cody and my sister. I hope that all our family love will keep his hopes up to fight!
I obviously will not be around to post for the next few days, but I will leave you with some extra photos to enjoy:

Luna
-SourceSo I have some bad news. My sister had her baby on Valentines Day, he is named Cody. The problem though is that he is in critical condition. He had blood in his skull, and some other problems and had to be rushed to a special children's hospital by helicopter. My sister and her fiance are there now, and got to hold him for the first time today. He was improving this morning, but isn't doing as well as hoped right now. They are hoping for the best, and so am I. It would be great if you could keep them all in your prayers right now. I am trying to figure out if I can fly out to be with them. We shall see what happens.

I hope you all have a Happy Valentines Day! Whether it be with friends, a movie or a signficant other, remember it is a day to show everyone around you that you love them.
Not to get sappy, but Valentines Day has a lot more meaning than romantic love. The last time I saw my Grandma was on Valentines Day when I was 6, and I always take a moment to remember her on Valentines Day :-)
In other news, my sister is having her first baby tonight, or possibly in the morning. I am going to be an Aunt for the firs time to Cody, the Valentine Baby :-) Wish her luck, she will need it!
