I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. I started coming down with something last night and am feeling pretty sick today. I had to pass up our plans to go watch basketball live and instead lay on the couch watching television next to a box of tissues.

Dognabbit's One Year Anniversary!

To Celebrate, I am going to show you how to throw a Dog Party!

Find a Place
The best place I can think of to throw a dog birthday party is at a park made especially for dogs. Here you can let your dog celebrate its birthday by sniffing every piece of dirt, dog booty, and caterpillar that they want.



Find a Theme
If you have a terrier, make the theme digging for the mole, or if you have a boy lab make sure to bring along plenty of fire hydrants, and if you have any sort of girl toy dog you might want to opt for a princess party.



Food Ideas
*Plenty of water and lots of water bowls!

*Plenty of doggy treats. Some of my favorite include:

Games
What’s a birthday party without games? Here are some fun ideas!
1) Hide the Kong: fill a Kong toy with treats, and let the winner keep the Kong

2) Obstacle Course: Set up an obstacle course, but make sure dogs of all sizes can play. Feel free to use orange cones, kiddy pools, tunnels, and toys. Offer up a gourmet treat to the one who finishes first.

3) Bone Hunt: buy a few bones and hide them in different areas of the yard. The dog who finds the most bones (or finishes theirs first) wins a gourmet bone.

4) Tug of War!: Bring plenty of ropes and let the dogs fight to win the rope. Winners will receive rope and more room for an ego.


5) Fetch for All: Get a ton of balls and throw them for the dogs. Let them chase the balls for hours!

This blog has been a great experience this year. I have had a blog since I was 14 years old and thought that I should do something in the blog world that was actually fun for someone. I visited CuteOverLoad.com all the time and wanted a blog that would be just about dogs. I was on the look out for blogs about dogs but was unable to find anything that I was actually interested (at first).

Throughout the year I have made my blog the way I want it, and in the meantime have discovered many dog blogs that are also awesome. I have made a lot of friends, and shared a lot of things with people through this blog. I am very happy that I have been able to share it all with you. I appreciate every comment that I receive! It honestly makes me smile when I get them.

Thank you for being such a great crowd. I have enjoyed sharing pictures of dogs with you, as well as my life story for those who care. I hope you enjoyed the blog as much as I did : -)

There will be plenty more this year, and I have a lot more new ideas!

Also, on a side note, I always try to add sources to people’s photos, but sometimes I forget or am just too overwhelmed with too many photos (like today). So if it bothers you that I have your photo on here without credit, please let me know who you are and I will gladly put it on the site.

Life here has been pretty good. The weekend was nice, but today was blah. Working on a Monday is never good, so I can't REALLY complain. After work Mike and I went to the park with the pups. It was a good time. It was Ender's first time back after his surgery. He loved it!

Now I have to get some other things wrapped up, and then sleep like Spudgy. I felt like him all day. Hahah. :-)

I hope everyone has been doing well. Sorry there have been a lack of posts recently. Life has been nuts! With work, my internet being down, and my friend Andrea being in town, I have not had much time to post.

But... I can't complain, because everything has (for the most part) been awesome.

Ender and Emily: January Vacation

While Mike and I were in Brazil, Ender and Emily stayed at my mom and Scot's place in Skyforest (near Lake Arrowhead). Here are some pictures of their adventures!



The pups became attached to my parent's, and they really appreciated that they were taken care of and were able to experience the snow once again.

I was told that Emily loves the snow VERY MUCH and Ender is definitely growing fond it quickly.

I wanted to say Thank you to Scot and my Mom for taking care of my pups, so THANK YOU!

I am beyond happy that it is Saturday. The plans for today are relaxing during the day, including laundry and then fun tonight with the Bears and Eva and her boy. It should be a good time.

This week was really not my favorite week. I was bummed that I was not in Brazil, and then work was overwhelming because I had to play catch up. Hopefully next week will be a bit better and I can have a fresh start at it. I need it :-)

Life in America, after Brazil, is hard to get used to. I haven't downloaded my Brazil pictures onto my computer yet because my Internet does not work on it and I can't do anything with them yet. We are working on a work-a-round so I can get my Internet back up so I can give a full review of the trip.

Ender got fixed yesterday. He was very whiny yesterday, but at the same time, as hyper as ever. It took some hard work to get him to calm down so he wouldn't tear his incision. I am glad that he acting normal, practically right after he got out, but geesh, it is hard to make him calm. haha.

By the way, the anniversay for my blog is coming up soon, January 31st! I can't believe I have been doing this for an entire year! It started out as a way to learn about SEO, blog marketiing and viral marketing, and has turned into a lot more. I have gained some good friends from this, helped to fill in my parents and mike's parents about our daily lives, and hopefully, made a few people smile. I have learned a lot this year, about myself this year, and hope to learn even more next year!

Dogs in Brazil

I just got back from Brazil and wanted to post a picture of the kind of dogs I got to hang out with while in Brazil.

In Brazil there are a lot dogs that just roam the streets. They are all adorable mutts and I love them all. Also in Brazil I got to see a lot of poodles and I also got to hold 3 different 8 week old yorkies!!

I will have a full run down of the trip in a few days. Today I am beyond tired. I didn't get back to my home until around 10pm last night, when I was actually supposed to get back by 10am. Flights got cancelled and delays happened, but we made it home. Thankfully my mom and Scot picked us up and with them they brought my puppies!!! I missed them sooo much while I was gone, but my Mom and Scot took good care of them. Thank you!!!

I can't wait to download the pictures of the Brazil trip, but there is a Suns game on that I need to watch and sleep that needs to be had after more than 25 hours in-between airports and airplanes. :-)

Internet Has Been Down

Sorry that I have not been posting. The internet has been down. It works right now, but not on my computer. I would do a regular post right now but I am preparing for my trip to Brazil.

We are packing tonight, then tomorrow we are dropping the dogs off at my mom's, then driving back home for a few hours of sleep. We will be leaving Huntington Beach at 4am, then leaving on a jet plane to Miami at 7am and then to BRAZIL!!! Woo hoo!!

I am looking forward to this trip more than anything. I have never been on a real vacation before, nor have I been out of the country, aside from Mexico when I was 6 (which I honestly don't count as being out of the country).

Anyway, wish me luck. I will be back with some dog loving after the 15th! Have a good time while I am gone!

This last weeek has been very exhausting. I am glad it is already another long weekend!! Mike's brother is still in town, for his first time in California. We are all going to go to LA today to do a lot of the touristy stuff. It should be a good time.

The past few days have been a blur. I have been very busy, but also taking some time to enjoy the company :-)

I hope everyone had a good Christmas. Today was my first day back to work after the holidays. It felt like a Monday, but thankfully was a Wednesday!

Mike and his brother are coming in from Houston tonight. I am very excited! I cleaned the house tonight, and did a pretty good job with the time availible. At least I think so :-)

Here is to a short week, and my boy back!
