I hope your Wednesday is going well. After the 4-day week last week my perception of the work week is altered. I woke up today thinking, it is ONLY Wednesday, isn't already supposed to be Thursday, I already worked 2 days! And then I had to remember. Not a holiday week anymore. Oh well.

  1. This is a little late, but thanks for posting these photos of my adorable dog. (She LOVES the attention, I swear.)

What a fun blog you have -- keep it up!

  2. is that gienna's dog then? How did you get such a good looking beltie? We have beagles and we know a family with shelties and my mother's considering making some puppies with the other woman's shelties. This is the only picture of a beltie that I like though... all the other ones looked a little weird. Did you get her from a breeder or a pound? That is a gorgeous dog. I want to make some like that. lol please let me know how you got her. Maybe there's a certain trick that goes into the breeding to give her those markings.

  4. I just got a Sheltie/Beagle mix, but ours (so far) looks much more sheltie-like. I know nothing about dogs. He is adorable so far.

We adopted a 'mutt' from the Humane Society. It was listed as a Beagle Mix. Visitors to our store are telling us that the other halk is Sheltie and that she is a 'Beltie'. I would like to hear someone's opinion who is familiar with Belties. She just turned a year old and there's a picture of her at www.hdgartists.com Thanks!! --Paul & Liz

I too own a beagle/sheltie mix and she is the sweetest dog I have ever seen. And pretty good looking. She is only 41/2 months old but is tiny...around 10 lbs. I hope she stays on the small side. I wouls love to see other pics!

  9. I just became the happiest man in the world when i discovered this site. For the past four years i had wondered what my dog "4" was. I had told people she was a beagle sheltie mix and this website just confirmed it! If someone could come out with a constent breed of the "Beltie" i would be a lifetime buyer. Great dogs, well mannered and smart!

We also have a sheltie beagle mix. Her name is Shelby. She is three and a half years old and loves attention as well. The cooolest thing about her is her ears. She looks alot like a sheltie but her ears can be at a full point or half flopped pointy ears.

  11. I have a 2.5 yr old Beltie too with the cutest ears and tail ever. Also, she has to be the world's smartest dog. Has learned to climb a chain link fence like a lizard and takes everything that is not nailed down into the yard.

  12. We just got a two year old beagle/sheltie this past december. She is the sweetest and smartest dog I have ever encountered. I was told that it was an odd mix, but I guess not.

The sweet mannerism and intelligence must be a breed thing. THEY'RE CUTE TOO!
