I hope everyone has had a good week. Mine has been pretty nice. I am excited for the playoffs to begin next week!
This weekend my plans are to work on this project I started this week and finish that. I also plan on going on 2 runs, but other than that I want to just focus on the project.
I will be taking the pups on a walk tonight though. They need a long one. :-)
So have any of you ever experienced your dog throwing up early in the morning, usually bile, because they do not eat enough food? My dogs are either picky or just absolutely despise the food we bought for them. Not sure, but they don't eat very much (and they always have food out) and then they end up getting sick from starving themselves or something. That is the theory at least. We will probably be switching their food this week (and yes, the slow way) so hopefully that works. Any advice would be great!
Have a great weekend!

Hi Cara - I liked your pictures this week. About the problem with the food - my dog used to do the same thing and would vomit up bile. I used to make sure he would eat some of his kibble every morning by either putting some of that Iams sauce on it or shredded cheese - anything to make sure he had something in his stomach. As long as he had something to eat, he would be fine, even if it was just half a cup. Good luck with the new food!
Thanks for the advice Stacey!
I don't want to freak you out and I have no idea of it was related to the morning vomiting or not but I had a female akita that used to do that regularly. I had to get up and feed her by a certain time or I would awake to the sounds of retching. She ended up having a liver tumor and having to be put down just before she turned 5. (Healthy til the day she got sick and collapsed. Rushed into emergency surgery and the unknown liver tumor was bleeding out.) I had always fed Purina One until that. Then I read "Food pets die for" By Ann Martin and it changed the way I look at pet food and feed my dogs. (not that I agreed with everything she said. I am not against the raw food diets like she is.) It also made me wonder if there was a connection to what I fed my dogs and their health issues. Anyhow, my point is you might want to get that checked by a vet. Good luck. I hope it is simply sour morning stomach.
I LOVE the photos on your blog. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the warning! I think it was because the food we were giving him and/or the fact that he had worms and they were eating all his food. We switched foods and he is now fine in that regard. The worm thing just came to front and he is going to the vet tomorrow.
