This intelligent and sweet-natured Shiba Inu has long been a favorite of the Japanese people. They make excellent guard dogs and are very quiet in mannerism around the home.

Shibas in the 1930s used to be from the Yamansashi or San In areas of Japan, but after reaching near extinction after WWII, they remained in the world through three different bloodlines: San In, Mino and Shin Shu.
